There were once seven kingdoms of grandeur. Each had mastered a sect of the Wylstream of natures and each had begun to grow beyond the interest of stewardship for the very grounds upon which they walked. In spite of the gods and believing they deserved more than they were given, the kings commissioned the Falarin to begin creating powerful items.
Upon their tampering with the surface of the world, Wyl struck back with furious vengeance. The lands themselves cracked and rose up in defiance of their mistreatment. Ancient creatures from the great deeps and dark underworlds rose and shook the grounds, launching entire mountains into the clouds, creating the great skyplanes.
After the planet had it's time, and at the request of the gods, Asomnador calmed the planet once more and laid to rest the beasts from below. As punishment for their hubris and lust for power, Asomnador created the Emberlands and gave the planet back to those stil living on it. The gods came together and agreed that one realms may be bridged, the realm of Elves.
Under the guidance of Elves, the lands retook their forested health. The surviving kingdoms of the old ways took history to heart and diminished their interest and use of the Wylstream. The Falarin took all their knowledge and hid away among the skylands in the last tower of the old Falarin Empire.
In time, the people of Wyl would forget how close their mistakes had brought them to extinction. Even some of the reclusive Elven kingdoms grew complacant and hid away amidst their traditions and long, slow, drawn out lifestyles. As the Wyleans reclaimed the lands with their kingdoms and farms, and other wars and history covered the memory of the Seven kings, the events faded to legend and myth.
The seven kings however, did not escape the fate they called upon in their arrogance. Each king was given task to live in secret, reshaped into new forms of creature. And so, the seven observers were born. The seventh king however... Received the harshest fate. Unlike the other kings who did not believe they needed to sire and heir, he was survived by his only son. The prince was labeled a mark of woe by the gods and in the absence of his kingdom and his father, the gods assigned him to become a caretaker of the wall of the realm. The prince would be exiled, incapable of communicating with his fellow Wyleans, and he would be treated as lesser by the counsel of gods. Prince Aurilaron with his name meaning "to be king", given now the name of Aurzahkra, "king of suffering".
